For the Gretsch G5420T Electromatic 135th Anniversary, Gretsch relies on its in-house construction with a body of five-layer maple laminate and the Sound Post Bracing, which colours the sound of the electric guitar with a woody acoustic timbre. In addition, maple neck offers the traditional "Standard U" profile for comfortable playability over the entire fingerboard made of compressed ebony, in which "Neoclassic Thumbnail" inlays provide the best orientation between the 22 frets.
