The PAISTE Color Sound 900 Heavy Ride 20" cymbal is 20 inches in diameter and features a purple finish. Made from a B8 bronze alloy, also known as 2002 Bronze, it produces a focused, powerful and sharp sound with a lot of brilliance and a very defined ping sound. This makes the 20 inch perfect for loud styles like rock and metal. The colored coating is very durable and can withstand the hardest use effortlessly.
The 92% copper to 8% tin blend is known for a very warm, brilliant and expressive sound character. The machine-finished 900 series cymbals are hand-hammered and hand-turned by the experienced Paiste cymbal smiths, a real specialty in this price range. The special finish gives the 900 series cymbals a dark shine and visually enhances turning patterns and hammer marks for a spectacular appearance that combines roughness with elegance.
The innovative design gives the PAISTE Color Sound 900 cymbals great flexibility and excellent playability. The sound is rich and warm, peppered with well-proportioned treble. Larger and heavier models also possess a good level of brilliance, sharpness and projection. The core of the program focuses on crash and ride cymbals of various sizes in medium and heavy strengths. A selection of hi-hats, splashes and chinas rounds out the program.
The colored finish on Color Sound 900 cymbals is extremely durable and stands up to the toughest of sounds with ease. The color coating causes a slightly drier sound, shortens the sustain by a few nuances and delivers a focused attack.
