The comfortably playable maple neck of the Sandberg Forty Eight is bolted six times to the alder body.

Sandberg Forty Eight with classic construction

For the construction of the Forty Eight E-Bass Sandberg uses classic woods and the bolt-on construction with 34" scale length (864 mm). The strikingly designed body is made of alder, while the six-bolt maple neck features a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The flat "C" neck profile also promises buttery smooth playing characteristics.

Under the mighty nickel caps are a power humbucker and a split coil, which together with the 2-band EQ provide for brute rock sounds.

Fat sound with Sandberg pickups

Under the impressive metal caps in nickel look the Forty Eight Bass hides two powerful Sandberg pickups, which come up with variable power sounds for rock and metal at the amplifier. The Sandberg Powerhumbucker, placed close to the bridge, delivers with its series-connected coils a brute Output with a focused midrange spectrum that asserts itself in the band sound with ease. The Sandberg split-coil in middle position, on the other hand, convinces with its raw low-mid growl and the necessary thrust for driving rock grooves. An active 2-band tone control is also available for adjusting the bass sound.
