With the TC Electronic BH800, the Danish company presents the perfect bass amp for the travelling bassist who doesn't want to do without a grown-up and flexible sound on the road. Thanks to the powerful Class D power amplifier, the bass top unit delivers a whopping 800 watts at a transport-friendly weight of just 3 kg. Furthermore, a 4-band EQ and two slots for TonePrint effects provide tonal flexibility. An extensive connection periphery simplifies life on stage and in the studio.
The TC Electronic BH800 offers two memory locations for Tone Print effects, plus a 4-band tone control for shaping the sound.
Intelligent EQ
The TC Electronic BH800 offers an enormous tonal variety for almost any music style. The Intelligent EQ with controls for Bass, Low- and Hi-Mid as well as Treble allows you to adjust the Bass sound very precisely. Starting from the neutral center position, each control captures two different frequency ranges for boosting or cutting, so that a wide variety of timbres can be implemented.
TonePrints
The BH800 also offers two memory locations for TC Electronic TonePrint effects. With free access to the extensive TC TonePrint library, chorus, compressor, Delay and other effects enrich the sound. The effects are controlled via two knobs, while a mini-switch allows for quick changes.
In addition to the modern Speaker Twist jack for connecting speakers, the BH800 offers a balanced DI output, USB and headphone ports, and an aux input.
Extensive connections
Last but not least, TC Electronic's BH800 bass amplifier comes with a comprehensive set of connections that make it easy to use on stage and in the recording studio. The balanced XLR output feeds the bass signal to mixers or audio interfaces for direct pickup, and the tap can be placed before or after EQ and TonePrints. An aux-in is also available for playing back backing tracks, while the headphone jack invites you to practice at low volume. The TC BH800 also features a USB port for loading TonePrints or firmware updates.
