The Tama ML52HLZBN Superstar HD Sea Foam Green is a professional shell set from Tama, consisting of a 22" x 18" bass drum, 10" x 6.5" and 12" x 7 toms, 14" x12" and 16" x14" floor toms and a complete hardware package. The Tama Superstar Drumset convinces with cast iron hoops, black nickel hardware, and Tama Powercraft heads. Maple drum shells offer a full and powerful sound, while the shortened Hyperdrive shells focus the tone. Just like Tama's Starclassic series, the Superstar Toms feature the Star-Cast Mounting System, which gives the drum an unobstructed resonance. The excellent Sea Foam Green finish harmonizes perfectly with the Black Nickel hardware. For the suspension of the two toms, two MC69 tom holders with multi-clip are included and a complete hardware set with Iron Cobra 200 pedal.
The Tama ML52HLZBN Superstar HD drums are made of maple, a total of 6 (TT/FT) or 8 plies (BD) are glued to form a thin shell with a wall thickness of 5/7 mm. The bearing edges are cleanly processed and offer an even head support. The shell hardware comes in Black Nickel finish and gives them a noble appearance. All toms have cast iron hoops which provide even tension and give the sound more expressiveness. The shell hardware, including hoops and rim suspensions, comes complete with a black nickel finish and gives the Superstar Drums a noble appearance. The heads come from the Tama Powercraft series, the bass drum head already has a damping ring that eliminates unwanted overtones.
The Tama Superstar drums come with shells in Hyper-Drive sizes, which means they are slightly shorter than conventional drum sizes. The sound of this construction provides a very fast response and a short, crisp, articulated and attack-rich sound that is unparalleled in this price range. Due to the lower height the Tom Toms can be positioned more easily and flexibly in the setup.
Included with the Tama ML52HLZBN Superstar HD Sea Foam Green Set is also a complete hardware package with two boom cymbal stands and a snare stand from the 60 Series as well as hi-hat stand and pedal from the Iron Cobra Series. Of course tom holders and multi clamps are also included.
