Dual, voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) in Euro Rack format
The Xaoc Devices Tallin is a dual, voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) in Euro Rack format and offers overdrive, a number of appealing sound characteristics as well as some unusual features. Each of the two channels offers two simultaneously controllable inputs for modulation by CV of signal attenuation and gain with linear or exponential response. The Volume Control Potis range from -80 dB) completely closed to +18 dB. A coloured LED light shows the level of the output signal.
A soft-clip circuit avoids sharp clipping distortion, while a switchable overdrive circuit offers two carefully crafted distortions that simulate the sound of classic tube amps.
