Yamaha's DZR & DXS XLF series focus on high-quality processing, optimized low-frequencies and, above all, wide adjustment options and control over DSP.
Already known from the Yamaha DXS series, which delivers extremely deep and powerful bass with its subwoofers, Yamaha proves once again that the bass low frequencies sound even more powerful.
Extended low frequencies & more BOOST
Since the additional name XLF stands for Extended Low Frequency, the XTENDED LF mode with a low frequency extension should not be missing. The XTENDED LF mode lowers the lower frequencies for the explosive bass.
This time Yamaha adds another feature and enables operation in NORMAL mode as well as in BOOST mode:
While the NORMAL mode provides an ideally balanced low frequency response, the BOOST mode delivers tighter and more focused bass with more punch.
NEW: D for Dante
This D-version is equipped with a Smart System, whereby the audio signal is transmitted via the network. Speakers can be connected to each other with a standard network cable.
This allows the individual Dante components to be optimized according to your own wishes, and the type of use of the desired loudspeaker can also be individually configured, which is also recognized by the mixing console. If, for example, you want to use a certain loudspeaker as a monitor, you can set this with this function.
This allows settings to be made more quickly. In this way, complex PC programming is no longer necessary.
Another special feature is the cardioid mode:
The cardioid mode, which was introduced in the Yamaha DXS12mkII and DXS15mkII models, is also adopted in the DXS XLF series.
With a subwoofer it is common for the low frequencies to be omnidirectional in all directions, so that the pressure can be felt around the subwoofer.
Cardioid mode, on the other hand, stands out from the functions of a standard subwoofer. This can be activated on the back of the DXS XLF subwoofer and enables a connection between two or more DXS XLF subwoofers to radiate the powerful and powerful "tremor" in the direction of the audience.
