Five-string electric bass with two humbucker pickups, active 2-band EQ and performance EQ
With the Yamaha TRBX 305 Factory Blue, Yamaha presents an electric bass that sets new standards with its ergonomic playability and versatile tone colours. This five-string bass features a contoured mahogany body and a bolt-on five-piece maple-mahogany neck, while the combination of ceramic humbuckers and active 2-band electronics with Performance EQ provides a wide range of different bass sounds. A massive die-cast bridge and precise tuners complete the package.
The Yamaha TRBX 305 offers ergonomic playability and versatile bass sounds, enhanced by the creative possibilities of an additional low B string.
Contoured body and slim neck
With its distinctive shape, the mahogany body of the Yamaha TRBX 305 Factory Blue offers excellent balance on both lap and strap, providing excellent ergonomics when playing this electric bass. This is perfectly supported by the slim profile of the bolt-on five-piece maple-mahogany neck making every groove easily manageable. To ensure that the orientation between the 24 medium frets is not lost, classic dot inlays mark the positions of the rosewood fingerboard. In addition, this construction promises a crisp basic sound that ensures precise reproduction of the low B string.
Yamaha M3 humbuckers and active electronics
The electrical sound conversion of the Yamaha TRBX 305 is handled by two Yamaha M3 humbuckers with exposed pole pieces and powerful ceramic magnets, which can be blended together using the Pickup Balance control. As a result, they deliver a powerful sound with distinctive timbres and high transparency. For further adjustment of the sound image, an active 2-band EQ for bass and treble is included, acting particularly musically and delivering harmonious sound results even at extreme settings.The low B-string is hereby integrated into the sound with precise articulation and harmonic balance.
The Performance EQ provides five different frequency responses for distinctive sounds.
Performance EQ
Another special feature of the Yamaha TRBX 305 Factory Blue is the Performance EQ, which provides different presets for every style of music via a 5-way tone switch. For example, the "Flat" preset gives you the authentic sound of pickups and 2-band EQ, while the "Finger"and "Solo" presets, with their different midrange enhancements, make for enormous punch. The "Pick" preset, on the other hand, provides an accentuated attack in the bass sound by emphasizing the treble, while the "Slap" preset with its distinct mid-scoop invites you to swing your thumb.
