The MuDi from Befaco is a compact and useful clock divider/suboctaver on a slim 2HP. The first three outputs have the same frequency as the input, while the lower four outputs offer a time division of 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16. The active circuit makes it possible to patch the clocks during operation and avoid tempo interruptions that can occur with passive multiples. Due to the small space requirement, the input consists of a TRS socket, with the clock signal at the tip and the reset signal at the ring. A normal mono cable is sufficient for clock-only operation, with the supplied splitter, Clock and Reset can be accessed simultaneously. The Reset resets all dividers to 0 volts to enable a clean start without active clocks. If you use the square wave output of an oscillator at the clock input instead of a Clock, you get four sub-oscillators at the outputs with an octave spacing of -1 to -4 octaves, which is perfect for ultra-deep basslines.
