The Eurolite freeDMX AP Wi-Fi Interface is a WLAN DMX interface for wireless lighting control from your tablet or PC with the apps Light'J and Light Captain from Steinigke. The interface is compatible with iPad and Android tablets. It is possible to integrate the DMX Wifi Interface into an existing WLAN - so you can stay connected to the internet while using the apps. The range of the wireless DMX connection is up to 30 meters indoors and up to 60 meters outdoors - but with commercially available repeaters the range can be improved. To do this, connect the fixtures to the interface via a 3-pin DMX cable and connect it to your end device using the integrated W-LAN module: you can already control your own light show with the help of the apps.
IP addresses, data rates and other functions can be freely configured. A web server for changing settings and status LEDs make the operation of the freeDMX AP Wi-Fi interface even more convenient.
With the Steinigke Light'J App you can control your DMX light effect devices easier than ever before. Light effect devices and moving heads of all brands can be controlled. The interface is logical and easy to use. In addition to over 300 fixtures already saved, you can also create new ones. Adjust color, strobo effect or brightness easily via sliders and buttons.
You can also control moving heads via intuitive touch pad: gobos, prisms and effects of the moving heads can be easily controlled with virtual faders.
The Light Captain app from Steinigke is aimed at both beginners who are taking their first DMX steps as well as demanding and experienced users. Light Captain is clearly and logically structured, so that even the inexperienced user can quickly find his way around. Nevertheless, the app offers many solutions that also facilitate the professional's work and enable more complex lighting situations.
The app can be used to control all types of spotlights: whether simple white light spotlights, colorful LED spotlights, compact lighting systems of all kinds, lighting effects or moving lights. Even the DMX protocols of show lasers or multi-effects can be mapped. The app's field of application is correspondingly wide-ranging.
Light Captain is available in the Apple Store for tablets with iOs 14.5 or higher.
