Versatile network solution

The RME M-1620 Pro D is a high quality AD/DA converter capable of converting 16 analog line level to digital signals and vice versa. The sources for this conversion can be separate coax MADI, ADAT or DANTE. The device is housed in a 19-inch case and has an installation height of 1U. It has LED level meters and a 2.5-inch display on the front. In combination with a knob, this enables direct and convenient access to all functions.

There are also two independent 6.35 mm jack headphone sockets on the front panel. These can be controlled via the integrated routing matrix. n order to process line signals, the M-1620 Pro D has a total of four Sub-D sockets (25-pin). Two of these are for line-in and two for Line-Out.

DANTE connectivity is built into the M-1620 Pro D Hardware from RME as standard. It enables connection to other audio devices via standard network switches. In addition, the Dante Virtual Soundcard™ (license sold separately) allows users to link up to 64 audio channels from their computer directly to the analog and digital inputs and outputs of the M-1620 Pro D. Two network connections provide redundancy or allow daisy chaining within the same network. Wordclock BNC and coaxial MADI connections (for up to 32 channels) are integrated; optical MADI can be added with an optional SFP module.
