The Apollo x16 Gen2 is an 18 x 20 Thunderbolt audio interface designed specifically for professional music producers and studios. With its high-resolution audio conversion and powerful HEXA Core DSP, it offers a first-class platform for processing and recording audio of the highest quality. Thanks to the 16 x 16 analogue inputs and outputs via DB-25 connectors , the device integrates seamlessly into professional studio set-ups, whilst the AES I/O (XLR) and word clock I/O (BNC) provide additional connection options.

The Apollo x16 Gen 2 supports formats up to 9.1.6 for immersive audio applications such as Dolby Atmos or Sony 360 Reality Audio, thereby enabling professional multi-channel production. Thanks to the integration of Apollo Monitor Correction, powered by Sonarworks, monitoring can be precisely calibrated to ensure that the audio output is optimal in any room. The combination of high-resolution 24-bit / 192 kHz converters and dual-crystal clocking ensures an extremely low jitter rate, resulting in a particularly clear and detailed sound.

Flexible routing options and expandable setup

Another key feature is the UAD Console app, which allows you to efficiently control the routing and monitoring of plugins. With features such as Plugin Scenes and Bass Management, the configuration can be quickly and easily adapted to the specific requirements of each session. Furthermore , the interface can be expanded for large studio set-ups by combining up to four Apollo x16 units, enabling a total of 64 channels of A/D and D/A conversion. The system supports over 200 UAD DSP and native plugins and integrates seamlessly with popular DAWs such as LUNA, Logic Pro, Pro Tools and Ableton Live.

The suite of plug-ins included with the Apollo x16 Gen 2 enables versatile sound processing, ranging from classic compressors and equalisers to modern audio effects. For demanding surround productions, the unit also offers subwoofer integration and ALT monitoring in immersive modes.
