INTRODUCING XP32
The Squarp Instruments xp32 at a glance
The xp32 is an expander module for the Squarp Instruments Hermod+ that expands the Eurorack sequencer and 32 control voltage outputs. The eight CV/Gate tracks of the sequencer remain untouched, the 32 outputs are additive and do not change the existing workflow in any way. With the xp32, the Hermod+ becomes a 16-track CV/Gate sequencer, a comprehensive MIDI-to-CV/gate interface, an extremely flexible modulation source, a Preset manager, a multi-channel drum trigger or a mixture of all of these. The xp32 also makes a real impression as a mere extension of the existing eight CV/Gate outputs, and additionally outputs velocity, mod wheel, envelope and LFO. The expander is connected to Hermod+ at the rear using the ribbon cable supplied; if the latter has OS2.0 or higher installed, the module is automatically recognized and the 32 outputs are ready for use. The outputs themselves are equipped with high-resolution 16-bit DACs in industrial quality, which ensures precisely generated control voltages. To completely prevent the LEDs from interfering, they are controlled by an analog current control circuit.
