The RØDECaster Video S features a clear, user-friendly layout that provides quick access to essential functions and maximum flexibility. With five scene buttons, four source buttons, a high-resolution 2-inch touchscreen, and a multifunction encoder, controlling any recording or live production is effortless.
Six dedicated function button Fade to Black, Media, Overlay, Multi Source, Keying, and Inspect offer direct access to core production features. The innovative Inspect function lets you check and adjust scenes live.
Thanks to its auto-switching capabilities, camera and scene changes happen automatically based on the audio signal making it a real game-changer for solo producers or small teams.
The audio section of the RØDECaster Video S delivers studio-grade sound with audiophile-level precision. Two Neutrik combo sockets let you connect microphones, instruments, or line-level sources, while two built-in wireless receivers support the latest RØDE wireless systems.
The internal preamp provides up to 76 dB of gain, ensuring clean, noise-free signals and strong amplification, perfect for dynamic microphones. The integrated signal processor offers a wide range of sound-shaping tools, including a compressor, EQ, de-esser, noise gate, high-pass filter, aural exciter, big bottom, and limiter. Each channel can be individually adjusted to achieve a polished, broadcast-ready sound.
With a width of just 25 cm, the RØDECaster Video S offers impressive connectivity.
Three HDMI inputs and a freely configurable HDMI output allow for flexible video setups. Four USB-C ports ensure comprehensive integration: one port for video/UVC, two for computer connection and one for an external storage medium. Two TRS sockets (6.35 mm) for headphones round off the features.
The RØDECaster Video S supports direct recording in H.264 to USB drives, ISO recording from four video sources plus program feed and RTMP streaming to platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, LinkedIn and X - optionally via Ethernet or WLAN.
In addition, up to four NDI inputs and one NDI output via Ethernet are available for network cameras (including PTZ control).
With the free RØDECaster app for Mac and PC, the console can be fully remote controlled. Scene creation, audio mixing and effects can be done directly from the computer. Thanks to cloud connectivity and a user-friendly interface, complex productions can be realized with ease.
