Guitar Rig 7 Pro

Thanks to the collaboration with Native Instruments, guitarists benefit from a very special software tool that offers many possibilities to create your own guitar sound. Guitar Rig 7 Pro is a virtual platform that allows you to customize amp, microphone, effect and cabinet simulations to your taste. Simply load the software into your DAW as a plug-in or use it in standalone mode to get started right away. Text navigation

Are you also constantly searching for specific events in your recordings and are annoyed that it often ends up being a lot of work? Text Navigation finally provides a remedy by analyzing the dialog and displaying a text transcription above the spectrogram. This allows you to search for specific words in the audio file, select them and edit the recording with text (only possible with English language).

Dynamic Adaptive Mode in De-Hum (Standalone Editor)

What's new in Neutron 5?

In addition to three new plug-ins, which we will describe below, the developers behind Neutron have worked on further improvements to their flagship suite. They are introducing a faster and smarter mix wizard, as well as newly added mid/side and transient/sustain modes and much more!

The first new plug-in is a clipper from iZotope and offers unrivaled flexibility for intuitive "soft clipping" of the signal

The respective clipping ensures that you add more power to the signal on the one hand and that you reclaim the headroom on the other. This creates even more space for an even Mix and perhaps you can tickle a little more punch out of the Kick and the 808 as well as all other instruments. The above-mentioned mid and side processing modes, the focus on transients or Sustain control and a possible frequency limitation through a selectable multiband mode make it possible to use this plug-in in all Mix and mastering situations, no matter how tricky.

The second new plug-in is called Density, which allows you to keep your key elements in the foreground of the mix

This precise "upward" compressor effortlessly smoothes dynamics and adds presence, detail and fullness to your audio. It helps to control the dynamics of a complex mix. Such a compressor helps to enhance subtle details and brings quiet elements forward in a targeted manner, while the volume fluctuations between quiet and loud passages are balanced out in a pleasant way. This preserves the liveliness of the mix and makes the sound more controlled and pleasing without losing the natural peaks.

At a later stage in the mastering process, the Upwards compressor also adds presence and fullness to the overall sound. By subtly emphasizing details in the Mix, it ensures that sound-relevant frequencies - such as kick drums, basslines or vocals - appear particularly assertive and full. This gives the Mix a balanced depth without overly dominating individual elements.

The third new addition to the Neutron Suite is the Phase plug-in

As the name suggests, this is all about controlling the phase of the individual signals. Out-of-phase signals sound weak and empty, and asymmetrical waveforms consume an unnecessary amount of headroom.

Phase analyzes the asymmetry of a single signal and detects phase problems with other tracks within seconds. It provides tools and visualizations to fine-tune directly as needed. Watching out for phase issues in modern music productions is crucial for a clear and punchy sound. Correct phase alignment increases clarity, brings more punch to important elements such as bass and drums, and optimizes the use of headroom, increasing loudness without loss of quality. Stereo imaging is also improved and the Mix remains mono-compatible, so the sound is consistently good even on smaller speakers or streaming platforms.

Furthermore, current Apple Silicon native systems are supported so that Apple users get their money's worth. And as in previous versions, you will of course receive of course full access to the Audiolens, Relay and Tonal Balance Control!

Neoverb

iZotope also delivers innovations in the software sector with Neoverb, or more precisely among the reverb effects. Together with Exponential Audio's technology, this reverb plugin is an intelligent solution that allows you to add reverb without negatively affecting Mix.

With the help of the Reverb wizard, Pre and Post EQs analyze the incoming audio signal and offer suggestions for the sound. Easily tame reverb tails and shape the sound to your liking - just more simply and efficiently! The focus here is clearly on creativity and not hours of trial and error. Benefit from unique selectable Rooms, Reflections and Spaces for vocals and instruments and take your Mix to a new level.

Stratus 3D

Create captivating surround environments with unparalleled clarity with Stratus 3D from Exponential Audio. With up to 24 channels, over 1,700 surround presets and intelligent multi-channel reverb controls, Stratus 3D provides the right sound for any post-production job. Stratus surpasses PhoenixVerb Surround with an enhanced reverb engine and additional effects parameters to give you even more sonic versatility. Along with intuitive Attack, Early Reflection, Tail and Warp processing modules, Stratus 3D's advanced Balance controls allow you to fine-tune reflection timing and placement for a more authentic, immersive listening experience. And with support for all landscape presets, you only need to create the perfect Reverb once.

Audiolens

Another supportive and really useful new addition to the suite is Audiolens, which is a reference plug-in.

The new Audiolens desktop app makes it easy to reference and compare tracks by analyzing audio data from any streaming platform or audio source, including system audio. This allows you to create your own personal library of reference tracks that you can access and save at any time to compare with your own mixes or masterings.

Using Audiolens: If you own Ozone 11 or Neutron 4, Audiolens complements them perfectly as it transmits the tonal profile of your saved reference tracks to the AI assistants, so you can easily match your tracks to a reference master and easily match a specific Master to your track thanks to Ozone's compressors and tone shaping eqs.

Why should you include a reference/comparison Mix in your productions?

Many producers and engineers around the world use track referencing during music production, mixing and mastering. Referencing is the process of comparing the dynamic range and sonic character of an original song with songs of a similar genre and style to achieve the desired sound. The dynamic range and sonic character of a reference track are used to clarify the desired sound for Mix or mastering. Reference tracks also help to develop a musical vocabulary that facilitates communication when working together on a song.
