Erica Synths Black System II at a glance

The Black System II from Erica Synths is a complete modular system that includes no less than 16 modules from the Black series. The compilation of high-quality module components moves in a very wide field between classic analog sounds, somewhat harder Polivoks sounds, weird experimental stuff and new digital sounds.

The sound laboratory

The Case offers space for the 16 included modules on two rows of 84 HP each. Besides two different oscillators (analog & wavetable) and filters (multimode & polivoks) you'll find a number of classic modules like VCAs, envelopes, or LFOs, but also specialists like the octal modulator Octasource, an excellent stereo delay, a crossfader that understands audio and CV, a CV tool for bending, mixing and combining control voltages and of course the opulent joystick that covers dedicated control paths in addition to the common X/Y outputs. With the two different mixers in the system, everything can be conveniently mixed and rearranged. This also works CV-controlled with the Quad VCA, as it has normalized outputs. The Output Module is ideal for sending signals from the Black System II to a mixer or DAW.
