Kali-Audio presents the IN-8 2nd Wave, the 2nd generation of its successful 3-way, 8" nearfield monitor. It features a coaxial mid-range & tweeter, as well as a sophisticated bass reflex system. Based on the successful LP-8, the speaker features the same level-fixed woofer for powerful bass. But instead of the usual tweeter with 3D imaging waveguides, here is a coaxial 4" mid-tweeter combination.
The profile-optimized midrange driver also serves as a waveguide, helping to prevent intermodulation distortion by limiting peak excursion to 1mm. This common problem with coaxial systems is thus circumvented and a more harmonious and distortion-free overall picture is created.

The crossover frequency is also 330 Hz, making the Kali Audio IN-8 2nd Wave an acoustic point source without phase cancellations on the vertical axis. Instead, a uniform radiation pattern is produced over the entire frequency response with excellent depth and localization.
The stereo image also benefits from the coaxial arrangement and allows for a detailed mix. Furthermore, a familiar boundary EQ from the LP series is on board, making it just as easy as its sister models to adapt the near-field monitor to different studio environments. Recently also with a setting for the operation in the lie.
