Compact ONYX control surface for mobile and flexible lighting set-ups

The Obsidian NX K is a compact USB control surface for the ONYX lighting control platform and enhances ONYX PC systems and NX series consoles with a full ONYX keypad featuring a command section. Thanks to its space-saving design and USB power supply, the controller is suitable for both mobile use and fixed workstations in lighting control environments.

Direct access to ONYX functions

The NX K provides the full ONYX keypad and the command section found on larger ONYX consoles , enabling quick access to key programming and control commands. Four digital rotary encoders with push function and status LEDs support the direct adjustment of fixture parameters and ensure precise operation during programming.

An ONYX Nova+ licence is included as standard, covering operation with 4 universes as well as support for MIDI, OSC and timecode. This means the NX K expands the capabilities of ONYX systems immediately upon installation.

Flexible integration into the ONYX ecosystem

The controller connects to the host system via the USB-B 2.0 port, which also supplies power. An integrated magnetic alignment system allows it to be mounted on either side of an NX1 console or an NXP Motorised Fader Wing, ensuring seamless integration into existing ONYX setups.

With its compact dimensions of 298.5 x 160 x 71 mm and a weight of just 1.4 kg, the NX K is easy to transport and can be flexibly integrated into a wide variety of working environments. The package includes an ONYX USB cable and a USB 3.0 recovery drive.
