For the body of the Ortega Guitars relies on a combination of exotic and classic tonewoods. While the top of the 3/4 classical guitar is made of spruce, the back and sides are made of catalpa, which knows how to convince with its excellent sound characteristics. Thus, the classical guitar has a particularly brilliant sound with a lively response.
For the manufacture of the neck Ortega relies on classic mahogany with a walnut fingerboard, whereby the ergonomic profile in conjunction with the impeccably executed fretting, the compact 590 mm scale length and the narrow fretboard with a nut size of 45 mm allows a decidedly soft playability with clean fingering. furthermore, the guitar is equipped with high-quality tuners that promise long-lasting playing pleasure with high tuning stability.
Ortega RST5M-3/4BKI brought this for my Stepson who is learning guitar and had the 3/4 size guitar he started with stolen from School. The guitar has a quality feel, with a low-action comfortable neck and great tuners. The sound is warm and balanced and suited to bossa nova. Hard to fault at this price point.
