The Pioneer DJ - is a compact 2-channel performance DJ controller for rekordbox dj with the club-style layout and features of the popular DDJ-1000 . The DJ controller offers a lightweight and easy-to-carry case and is ideal for weddings, parties and events outside clubs. Color On Jog displays give you a quick overview and accurate performances, and the audio mixer feature keeps external input levels under control. In addition, the Pioneer DJ - as DDJ-800 the first DJ controller - has the feedback reducer function and supports Plug & Play with rekordbox dj, so that no license key has to be entered to use the software.
Since the introduction of rekordbox 6.0 in April 2020, there are a lot of new features and a new subscription system with the three models, Free (no charge), Core and Creative (paid subscription - not included). The Pioneer DJ - XDJ-XZ acts as a hardware unlock device and activates Performance Mode without having to subscribe to a paid plan. The download link for the software and all subscription details can be found on the rekordbox website.
The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-800 is lighter compared to the 1. DDJ-1000 3 kg and has a 22 % smaller volume. The DJ controller is therefore easy to transport and can be used anywhere.
Both Jog-Wheels have a high-resolution LCD display in the center, which shows all essential information such as playback time, BPM and waveforms. Cue Scope displays the distance in bars between the current playback position and hot cue and loop points. The display of track covers is also practical, so that you can see right away which song is loaded.
With the Feedback Reducer function, microphone feedback is a thing of the past, because this feature permanently analyzes and lowers the feedback-prone frequencies accordingly. In this way, DJs, MCs and guest speakers no longer have to worry about sudden whistling in the microphone signal and can use the two independent microphone inputs more flexibly and safely.
When using this DDJ-800 , the same feeling comes up as if you were performing with club standards CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM-900NXS2 CDJ-2000NXS2, because all buttons, knobs and faders of the 2-channel DJ controller are arranged and used in the same way. In addition, as with the large CDJ players, the resistance of the jog wheels can be changed using Jog-Adjust. In addition you get the Sound-Color-FX and Beat-FX including a dedicated Beat-FX display from DJ' Pioneer s DJM mixer series. As a result, you always have the reference BPM and name of the selected FX in mind and can make your DJ mixes more creative.
The mixer DDJ-800 can also be used for external DJ equipment. Trim controls, EQs and channel faders work stand-alone, Sound-Color-FX and Beat-FX can be used additionally, as soon as the DJ controller is connected to rekordbox dj.
The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-800 offers 8 illuminated, sensitive performance pads per deck. This gives you the ability to trigger hot cues, pad FX, beat jump, sampler, keyboard mode and more.

I must say I'm impressed with the build and finishing of my Product. The DDj 800 has a whole host of features 2nd to none. The software is stable and it integrates well as expected.
I'm made the switch from a Numark controller for a more professiional setup. I'm very please so fare
Very happy with my purchase. I bought this controller to take up DJ-ing again, I used to DJ with vinyl back in the 90s and now I'm in my 50s I decided to give it another go (mid life crisis I think). Very easy to set up and was using the controller within 10 minutes of opening the box, would have been quicker but needed to download the audio driver for it to work.
I would recommend the DDJ800 to anyone considering buying it.
Also, I would like to say that purchasing this from dv247 was hassle free and I had no problems with them. The price was fantastic and I received it within 3 days.
Speedy delivery, perfect condition and best price on the internet! Couldn’t be more pleased, will be sure to use dv247 again!
It's a nice controller, but I find it a little overpriced. Construction and sound are good but they could do a little better given it's price. Operation is nice but I'm really disappointed that there's no dedicated autoloop button like it's bigger brother DDJ-1000.
Overall it's a nice controller.
Never use the ddj range from pioneer before i bought this and to be totally honest its a amazing product...works the same as a cdj decks if you can mix then straight away you will know what controls what...for the entry dj i cant see them having problems learning on this product...truly a good product to have whether it's for professional use or learning use...
