Description

Desktop and mobile headphone calibration app

Sonarworks True-Fi is a desktop software and mobile app designed to improve the sound of headphones for end users. Unlike Reference 4, this application is not intended for professional studio users, but for home users who want to normalize the ever-changing sound of different headphone models to give you the purest, most neutral sound possible, as intended by the artist or producer. Over 270 models are supported and the software runs on Android and iOS smartphones as well as Windows and Mac systems. The program even offers compensation algorithms for gender or age-related hearing changes.

Unadulterated sound, no matter what headphones you use

Every headphone sounds different - every user knows that. When developing their models, manufacturers not only take objective quality standards into account but also the subjective hearing preferences of their customers. This can lead to a situation where a very bass-heavy headphone, which many buyers basically prefer, distorts the sound of a large part of the songs and attenuates treble and midrange. The sound often turns out to be completely different from that intended by the recording studio in the final product, which has been mixed with painstaking attention to detail. With the wrong headphones, regardless of the price range, many productions sound flat and boring or simply unbalanced.

Sonarworks True-Fi counteracts this problem. Choose from a list of more than 270 headphone models and the software will know immediately which frequencies need to be adjusted and where attenuation is needed. Thus you receive a pure and clear sound image full of depth, which lets you feel the love of the artist and the producer again clearly.

Remedy for age-related hearing loss

But not only headphones are always different - our ears are also different. Amazing but true: Men often perceive sounds differently from women. In addition, the precision instrument ear is not forever armed against the ravages of time. The fine tactile hairs in the ear break off with the time and we perceive high tones duller and quieter.

True-Fi also takes these factors into account. The app lets you select your age and gender and adjust the resulting sound adjustments in intensity. So you perceive the sound exactly as it should be. A true enlightenment awaits you here - you will hear nuances of your favourite songs that have remained undiscovered for years.

Despite all the neutrality, of course, certain listening loves remain, which are different from song to song. That's why the app lets you personalize your sound. All of this is displayed in a sound curve diagram, so you can see exactly how the raw signal differs from the enhancement.
