The foundation for today's wide range of music tools was laid in the 1990s with the GrooveMaker software. IK Multimedia expanded the then innovative groove tool for loop-oriented music production with many sound and groove expansions, which today, as apps, provide thousands of tablet and smartphone users with access to intuitive music making with electronic sounds. Software instruments such as SampleTank are available with a large sound library for the audio computer and as a mobile app. Outstanding is the software instrument Miroslav Philharmonik - a high-quality orchestral library created in collaboration with jazz bassist Miroslav Vitous (Weather Report). IK Multimedia plug-ins are popular because of their good sound quality and authentic imitation of vintage equipment.
