The new SUB 8003-AS MK3 from RCF is a powerful active subwoofer that offers excellent bass performance thanks to its built-in DSP. With its slim design, it houses a state-of-the-art 18" driver with a ceramic magnet and a voice coil measuring 4". Its integrated amplifier module is capable of delivering up to 2200 watts of power, allowing it to reach sound levels of up to 135 dB. The innovative Bass Motion Control technology ensures a particularly linear frequency response and exceptional sound fidelity. The rear panel features controls for various presets, crossover frequency adjustment, polarity switching, cardioid dispersion and output signal delay.

Its robust wooden housing, which has been specially designed for use on tour, has a scratch-resistant polyurea coating and is characterized by its stackability, which makes it much easier to transport and set up. Designed for professional use, the SUB 8003-AS MK3 is a reliable solution for audio experts.

Power that moves

With 2200 watts of power, the built-in Class D power amplifier achieves impressive sound pressure levels with ultra-fast Attack and natural transient reproduction with very low heat loss. The power amplifier is so energy-efficient that it does not require a ventilation fan. Instead, it is mounted at the rear of the enclosure on a fixed heat exchanger with no moving parts. The stereo signal input path with crossover has been optimized for low distortion and features an advanced limiter for added safety, preserving the sound characteristics of the input signal at all levels. RCF power amplifiers are standardized for maximum safety (EN62368-1) and are powered by a highly efficient and ultra-light switching power supply.

Workhorse for touring

The enclosure of the active subwoofer is made of high-quality hardwood multiplex with a black polyurea coating. The SUB 8003-AS MK3 is stackable and lightweight and can be easily assembled and disassembled thanks to the ergonomically shaped handles. High stand flanges on the top and on one side allow the speaker to be used in various configurations. The powder-coated front grille is lined with acoustic foam on the inside, which also protects the speakers from dust.
