The so-called dreadnought design owes its name to battleships of the British Navy, the largest models of the first half of the 20th century. Due to their voluminous sound body, dreadnought guitars produce an assertive sound with rich basses that are especially popular in the country and folk music genres. This is ensured by the robust rosewood bridge, whose two-piece saddle made of bone provides additional support as well as clean intonation with the perfect transmission of the string vibration to the top. Meanwhile, die-cast chrome tuners guarantee high tuning stability for sustained tonal stability.
Due to its load capacity in combination with a comfortable weight, the slim mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard fits extremely well in the hand. In addition, the typical Takamine neck profile with its slight offset adapts naturally to the hand, while the nut width of 42.5 mm meets the requirements for powerful strumming and delicate flatpicking in every detail.
