With the Gibson Les Paul Custom Reissue VOS Ebony 3-pickup presents the Gibson Custom Shop an authentic reissue of the very first Black Beauty Les Paul Custom with three pickups and iconic "Tuxedo Look". Under the deep black VOS nitrocellulose finish with authentic vintage patina hides a one-piece mahogany body with arched top and a glued mahogany neck in the not too beefy "'50s Rounded Medium C" profile, in whose ebony fingerboard block inlays of mother-of-pearl mark the layers. Three Gibson Custombuckers with Alnico III magnets, managed by the historically correct circuit with Paper-in-Oil Caps, also promise first-class vintage sounds in the best PAF tradition. Last but not least, the 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue VOS Ebony 3-PIckpu features historically correct hardware in the form of no-wire ABR-1 bridge, Aluminium-Stopbar and Kluson waffleback tuners.

Tradition-conscious construction
For the construction of the 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue the Gibson Custom Shop naturally relies on historically correct manufacturing methods to guarantee an authentic sound and playing experience. The classically designed singlecut body is crafted in one piece from mahogany, with careful wood selection ensuring a comfortably portable weight. The one-piece mahogany neck is also glued to the long neck base, which has a positive effect on the guitar's resonance and sustain. The not too beefy "'50s Rounded Medium C" neck profile sits comfortably in the hand and promises to make classic blues and rock techniques easy to implement. Last but not least, "1950s Pattern" block Inlays made of genuine mother-of-pearl mark the layers of the 22-fret ebony fingerboard.

The electrical tone conversion of the 1957 Les Paul CustomBlack Beauty Reissue is handled by three Gibson custombucker pickups in neck, middle and bridge positions. Equipped with Alnico III magnets and unwaxed copper coils, the humbuckers convince with an authentic PAF sound, whose warm midrange spectrum in combination with the airy highs and the organic dynamics supports expressive electric guitar playing in the genres of blues, rock or jazz. The hand-wired circuitry works here historically correct and calls in the outer positions of the Switchcraft switch the neck and bridge pickups individually, while in middle position bridge and middle pickups work together. Authentic oil paper capacitors also promise particularly harmonious treble roll-offs with the tone pots.

The body is equipped with Ted McCarty's Stopbar tail piece and No-Wire ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, which allows for optimal adjustment of intonation and string position. Behind the nylon nut, Kluson waffleback tuners with Pearloid wings on the headstock ensure precise and stable tuning.
