IK Multimedia iRig Mic Cast HD iOS audio interface

IK Multimedia has launched the iRig Mic Cast HD, a tiny USB condenser microphone with some interesting features. The high resolution of 24-bit at 96 kHz and compatibility with virtually all devices, smartphones and DAWs promise crystal-clear, portable recordings for conferences, podcasts or personal use in the simplest possible way. The polar pattern can be switched between cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-of-eight, allowing background noise to be filtered out during personal video recordings and enabling seamless room recording at conferences and meetings. The iRig Mic Cast HD can be easily attached to your smartphone using two magnetic plates and feeds the audio directly into any audio app. Via the headphone output, you can choose to monitor either the raw signal or the signal processed by the app.
