In general, the USB-C interface offers two channels including Hi-Z feature, so that electric guitars can also be connected directly. They also have the necessary 48 V phantom power for condenser microphones and a practical display for monitoring the input and output signal. The ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC technology ensures crystal-clear results that are worth listening to and have nothing to hide from professional recordings. The MOTU M2 also benefits from extremely low latency for precise and clock-accurate recordings. Recordings are made in 24 bit and a maximum of 192 kHz, while RCA and jack outputs are available for monitoring. The MIDI-capable device is powered via USB-C.
A free and extensive sound library with 6GB of loops, samples and phrases rounds off the overall picture.
MOTU M2Worth the money just for the DACs alone. Have bought this to work with at home when i'm away from the studio and the sound quality is excellent. The loopback function is also a great addition to use for recording samples from youtube etc without having to mess around with Soundflower and create aggregate devices etc. Hightly recommended as a travel unit and for mixing on headphones. It doesn't have any monitor controls (mono, mono sum, dim, cut etc) so it's not a studio piece but the quality of the converters are ridiculously good at this price!
Out of all the interfaces I've owned the M2 is leagues ahead, in terms of ease of use and performance. Installation was effortless, with my DAW instantly recognising the device and optimum settings. I've yet to get to a stage where I notice an latency, which is phenomenal. Highly recommended, especially for the price!

A wonderful replacement for my home studio. My only criticism is the supplied USB cable is very short so had to buy a quality 2M replacement. Also when I registered the product on the MOTU site I got an error informing me the serial number was already in use! After contacting MOTU Support I quickly received a reply informing me that they had registered the unit for me.
Big thank you to DV247 UK who shipped the unit from Germany and despite the UK Virus Lock-down and it being Bank Holiday Easter it arrived promptly.

Like most USB devices its plug and use I did load the MOTU drivers on my Mac alongside the Digital Performer Light. It was all well explained in tutorials and so easy to confidently get going. The coloured Channel levels is the highlight of the product alongside the brilliant clear quality of the recordings I am now able to make.
had it for over a week and all is great. There are enough connections for my needs and particularly MIDI in/out is great addition. Sound is superb and you can control everything easily. No issues with straight forward installation on my Win 10. Before the purchase I had a question which DV247 staff responded straight away. Great service and fast shipping for a really good interface.
