Versatile signal processing

The API TCS II is a channel strip with microphone preamplifier, dynamics processors, precise EQ and output level control. This versatile device combines the best features of a large console input channel in a single 19-inch rack space. The legendary 512c mic preamp provides additional circuitry for mic, line or instrument inputs and is the basis for first-class recordings. API's iconic 550A three-band equalizer provides precise sound shaping with switchable frequencies and 12 dB boost/cut per band. The 527A multi-mode compressor features fully adjustable thresholds, attack, release and ratio, as well as the patented THRUST® circuitry that gives tracks the punch you want. At the output of the TCS II is the 325 line driver with output level control and 10-segment meter, which ensures optimum signal transmission. The TCS II therefore delivers rich output levels without distortion . Several balanced insert points also allow flexible signal paths and each unit can be switched in individually or bypassed.
