With the Markbass CMD Ninja 102P-500 IV, the Italian amp company presents the next Generation of the popular Richard Bona Signature Bass combo. At the request of the Cameroonian-born and New York-based jazz cosmopolitan, the CMD Ninja IV has a particularly warm sound that captures the character of the instrument and every detail of the playing technique unadulterated. While two EQ presets together with the active 4-band tone control and the old school filter allowed the precise adjustment of the Bass sound, 300 watts of power from the MPT power amplifier and two 10" neodymium speakers including piezo tweeter promise a detailed and powerful output with stage-ready volume.

Precise adjustment options for the sound

At the heart of the Ninja 102P-500 IV is an amplifier based on Richard Bona's Little Mark IV Ninja top, which offers extensive sound adjustment options at the jazz virtuoso's request. Two EQ presets grant access to a neutral flat sound and a hi-fi sound with a clear mid-scoop, while the carefully tuned active 4-band tone control with +/- 16 dB Boost or cut per knob allows precise adjustment of the sound character in the character-shaping frequency ranges. Last but not least, the Old School control offers the possibility to shift the sound character into velvety vintage realms by means of a high cut.

MPT power amp with bi-band limiter, 10" neodymium speaker.

The power amplifier of the Markbass CMD Ninja 102P-500 IV Combo naturally relies on Mark Proprietary Technology (MPT) and neodymium speakers to combine enormous power reserves with a transport-friendly weight. Up to 300 watts of power from the two internal 10" neodymium speakers, supplemented by a piezo tweeter for particularly detailed and brilliant highs, promise not only stage-ready volume reserves, but also well-measured headroom for lively dynamics. The innovative bi-band limiter also helps to smooth out level peaks in the high and low frequency ranges separately, so that the Bass amp comes up with a natural feel and smooth sound. The balanced XLR Line-Out with its own level control also allows the bass sound to be picked up directly for recording and live applications.
