The Trace Elliot Transit B Bass Preamp is a versatile sound tool for stage and recording studio. A five-band tone control, a multi-band compressor and the overdrive offer extensive possibilities for sound shaping, while symmetrical pre and post outputs considerably simplify the removal of the bass signal. For easy navigation, all footswitches, controllers and switches are framed with color-coded LED rings.
The Trace Elliot Transit B Bass Preamp offers extensive possibilities for sound shaping, whereby LED rings around controls and switches simplify navigation considerably.
The heart of the Trace Elliot Transit B Bass Preamp is a five-band equalizer, which allows precise interventions in the character-forming frequency ranges and can be removed from the signal if necessary. The pre-shape filter, which delivers the legendary Trace Elliot sound by emphasizing bass and treble at 55 Hz, 2 kHz and 5 kHz and lowering the midrange by 400 Hz, complements the tone control. The Bass Enhance Switch can also be used to switch on a subharmonic generator, which also extracts deep bass from small amps.
In addition, the Trace Elliot Transit B Bass Preamp is equipped with a multi-band compressor, which allows a sensitive tuning and natural reproduction of the bass sound due to the separate processing of bass and treble. The compressor can be switched before or after the tone control. The on-board overdrive also provides a rich grind in the sound when needed, while the clean signal can be continuously mixed in to maintain punch and dynamics thanks to the blend control.
On the back of the Trace Elliot Transit B there are extensive connections for the bass tone pickup on stage and in the recording studio.
Last but not least, the Trace Elliot Transit B Bass Preamp is equipped with extensive connection peripherals, which simplify the use of the preamp on stage and in the recording studio. Balanced pre- and post-DI outputs allow direct sampling of the dry and processed signal. There is also an unbalanced line output and an instrument level output, while the Aux In Backing tracks can be played back. The headphone connection allows the use of the Trace Elliot Transit B for silent practice or monitoring of recordings.
