I've played guitar for a couple of decades now. Every guitar I own has at least one strap, some have as many as 3, depending on whether it goes on stage or not. Primarily I have used only Levy's straps. In the past they have been the best performing, most comfortable, highest quality straps around. 3 of my straps are over 20 years old and still look like they are brand new. So when it came to buying a strap for my new Gibson, I didn't even look at other brands. I just grabbed the first Levy's Leather strap in brown I could find. It was late at night and I was tired when I opened the big box from music-store.de and of course I was totally fixated on my new Gibson. Before even thinking, I ripped off the tags on the strap and started installing the schaller strap locks. That's when I noticed the ultra thin and stiff quality of this strap. I should have stopped right then and returned it for a Reunion Blues wool strap, but I'd already started putting on the strap locks. Now it sits rolled up in my case and I never use it. Honestly I don't trust it to hold the guitar. It's that poorly made. I don't know if all of the Levy's straps have gone down in quality, or just this model. But for the price I paid, I would expect more. When I need to use a strap with the Gibson, I've been taking the one off my Telly and using it. Also an older high quality Levy's strap. But as for this model, I recommend steering clear. Reunion blues makes a plain wool woven strap, they claim is the most comfortable strap in the world. I would agree. Had a nice brown one on a heavy Epiphone Dot. Unfortunately I sold the Dot and the strap went with it. My mistake.
