Since 1833, C.F. Martin & Co. has been an integral part of American guitar architecture. The oldest, most respected and most innovative guitar manufacturer in American history is once again setting new standards with the OMC-28E. The already well-known and extremely popular Ochestra copus shape is being upgraded to the next generation with a cutaway and an innovative pickup.
In a classic manner, the Martin OMC-28E comes with a well selected solid spruce top and sides and back made of solid rosewood. The result is a balanced, powerful sound with clearly defined bass, nuanced midrange and fine silvery highs with controlled overtones. The slightly smaller OM body is bullet- and couch-friendly and delivers a light and flexible performance for the stage.
The Aura VT Enhance, developed by Fishman in collaboration with Martin, sets new standards and each image has been specially developed for each model. Accordingly, the Aura Acoustic Imaging technology offers a unique amplified sound in studio microphone quality. Imaging amplifies the guitar's natural acoustic sound without the annoying squeaking of strings or feedback. This makes the Martin OMC-28E ideal for live performance and recording. An expensive high-end condenser microphone is then no longer necessary for a professional recording. In the course of the minor technical modification, the acoustic resonance is largely retained. That's why the OMC-28E has only three small controls in the sound hole for volume, tone and aura image mixing.
The Martin OMC-28E is particularly suitable for fingerstyle play and light strumming. The slightly wider neck with a saddle width of 44.5 mm leaves more space on the fretboard and lies comfortably in the hand with the High Performance Taper. The nickel-plated open vintage tuners provide tuning stability and precise tuning.
