A truly stunning masterpiece from the hands of luthier icon
The Private Stock Special 22 Semi-Hollow Birds or a Feather uses only the finest woods in the PRS wood inventory, as impressively demonstrated by its warm and vocal-sounding semi-resonant body construction. This is formed from a solid and hollow-milled piece of Ribbon Mahogany for the back, which is finished with a high-quality Curly Maple top. The high-quality top presents a three-dimensional shimmering grain with unique latching and features an attractive Tiger Eye Glow nitrocellulose finish with Natural binding all around and F-hole in the top half of the body.
The visual highlight of this Private Stock guitar is clearly its masterfully crafted fingerboard, which is adorned with a lovingly crafted 'Birds or a Feather' motif. The namesake design transitions from African Blackwood in the high registers to Curly Maple in the first frets, and showcases intricate inlay work in the form of the iconic PRS Bird inlays. On the back, the Private Stock Special 22 Semi-Hollow Birds or a Feather features a mahogany neck with a classic pattern profile and proven feel in all registers.

Two PRS 58/15 LT Low Turns humbuckers are used in the neck and bridge positions, which are calibrated to their respective positions and provide dynamic, expressive sounds with a slightly lower coil winding. In combination with a narrow-field humbucker in the middle, the instrument knows how to elicit their best characteristics from each position respectively. Thanks to the additional coil split option of the two mini switches for both 58/15 LT pickups and classic 3-way switch, a total of 12 different sound options are available.
Of course, proven in-house hardware solutions cannot be missing on a genuine PRS Private Stock electric guitar. The PRS Gen III tremolo represents the logical evolution of classic vintage tremolo systems and combines classic pitch modulation possibilities with improved tuning stability and wide-ranging adjustment options in terms of string action and intonation. On the headstock, meanwhile, the six PRS
