Newfangled Audio EQuivocate - Human ear EQ for natural mixes and masters

With EQuivocate, Newfangled Audio presents an equalizer that does not work according to classic filter curves, but is directly oriented towards human hearing. The plug-in uses 26 so-called critical bands on the Mel scale- precisely those ranges in which our ear perceives frequencies. As a result, interventions automatically sound more musical, balanced and "right", even with strong corrections.

Whether mixing or mastering: EQuivocate delivers precise interventions without sterile harshness. The linear phase FIR architecture reduces pre-echo and ensures that what you hear is exactly what you see. The result is an EQ that sounds clear, transparent and organic at the same time - ideal for modern productions where naturalness and detail count.

Match EQ that remains truly transparent

The match EQ is a highlight. Instead of "over-correcting" the smallest, inaudible differences , EQuivocate creates a clean, realistic tonal adjustment. This allows you to quickly match tracks, insert sounds into dense arrangements or gently bring your master to a reference. Particularly practical: the adjustment runs via Sidechain - perfect for bus editing or master comparisons.
