With the Repeater Delay, D16 offers a delay plug-in that combines the best of the delay devices of all time. There have been many incredible delay units designed over the last 70 years, from band delays to oil sardine cans to modern digital circuits. And so it was no surprise which model they D16 Group and Slate Digital together built as a plugin: Everybody! So this plugin is just right for producers of vintage sounds and experimental genres who like to enjoy all sound possibilities and are willing to use extraordinary sounds.

With the repeater, D16 presents a double delay track powerhouse with 23 unique, authentically modeled delay units from the good old oil sardine machines and plates to the most famous Vintage models:

• Cassette Tape - A model of a Japanese cassette recorder from the early eighties. You could call it half serious mid-fi.
• Coopy Cube - A seventies delay that was originally improvised from a garden hose! Very suitable for short delays to add depth. Stereo spread option included.
• Digital 42 - One of the most famous modern digital delays. This effect has a unique sound of the early digital age with a little grain and some scoop. Great for guitars or vocals.
• Digital 42 x 2 - The doubling option of the Digital 42 halves the sampling rate for a very unique Lo-Fi sound that is very suitable for vocals, guitar and drums.
• Digital Delay - A high-resolution delay. Use the filters of the repeater plug-in and the Color control to modify the sound.
• DM-2 - An early analog delay based on Bucket Brigade Devices with a warm, full sound. Excellent for guitars and synthesizers.
• Mellow Delay - A soft, suppressed delay based on various analog Vintage designs.
• Memory Guy - Rich analog delay with fat Vintage sound.
• Mirky Delay - Based on early analog bucket brigade device delays. The sound is dark and broad. Well suited as Special Effect Delay or for "thickening" the sound together with the Spread option.
• New Radio - Delay sound with shortwave radio style. Good for singing.
• Old Radio - Delay sound with long-wave radio style for a more granular Lo-Fi sound.
• Pitchy Delays - (3 models) - Delays with slight treble modulation for extremely spatial, deep effects. Sounds great when both delay tracks are set to the same time, creating a chorus-like mono effect. Can also be used with the Spread option for Thickening or Widening.
• Plexy Echo - Based on an old 70's magnetic tape delay. Fat sound that sounds great for vocals and drums.
• Space Delay - Based on a famous magnetic tape delay, this effect has a warm, slightly dirty tone. A classic for guitars.
• Tape Delay Ancient - An extremely old delay in the style of the 40's models
• Tape Delay Classic - Delay in the style of the early 60s models
• Tape Delay Modern - High-resolution magnetic tape delay with warm, rich sound.
• Tape Delay Vintage - 70s model. Somewhat grainy and yet warm.
• Telephone 1 - Low-resolution phone sound. Super suitable for special effects or as an inserted effect for vocals or even the finished mix.
• Telephone 2 - Another low-resolution telephone delay with a slightly different frequency and distortion tone.
• TelRay - The analog delay classic, originally made from a tuna rifle. Wonderfully low-resolution, rich sound that is perfect for guitars.

Two are better than one

At first glance, the Repeater Effect plug-in looks like the typical stereo delay effect processor with independent paths for the left and right channels. In fact, the plugin offers independent re-panning and dry/wet mixing for both stereo channels, making the effect a very flexible double delay. You will be surprised and delighted at how many possibilities this approach offers compared to the usual fixed "tension" effects.
