IO Instruments presents PASIPHAE, an analog four-quadrant ring modulator with very good audio values and fresh ideas. The low-distortion circuit convinces with plenty of headroom and clear results. From a purely technical point of view, a ring modulator generates the sum AND difference of two signals at the same time, tremolos, metal-like sounds and wave deformations belong to the extensive repertoire of possible sounds. The respectively AC and DC coupled inputs X and Y have their own attenuators, the output is provided by two jacks with positive and inverted wave. In addition, it is possible to mute the two DC inputs separately by means of gate or CV.
