The Gibson 1957 Les Paul Speical in the TV Yellow finish is a historically accurate replica of the famous single cut electric guitar of the late 1950s, completed with the unmistakable TV Yellow finish and high-quality appointments, which were carefully handcrafted in the Gibson Custom store in Nashville, Tennessee. Initially conceived as an alternative between the student model and the goldtop version, this Les Paul Special Single Cut electric guitar is anything but a compromise. The mahogany Les Paul features a double Soapbar P90 pickup with hard-wired circuitry for a memorable sound and comes with an authentic Lifton hardshell Case and certificate of authenticity.
The legendary TV Yellow finish is not only particularly high-quality thanks to the nitrocellulose finish, but also provides a unique vintage feel in combination with VOS processing
The mahogany body and neck of the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Special Single Cut are glued together using the classic method.
Authentic construction
When building the 1957 Les Paul Special Single Cut Reissue, the Luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop naturally use historical methods and materials to reproduce the sound and feel of a vintage original as authentically as possible. Accordingly, the neck and body are made from carefully selected mahogany , with the use of hide-glue and a thin nitro finish guaranteeing unhindered sound development. The not-too-strong "Chunky-C" neck profile also promises comfortable playing characteristics right up to the high registers of the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Two Gibson Custom P90 single coils and the hand-wired circuitry promise authentic vintage sounds for blues and rock.

The electric sound conversion of the '57 LP Special Reissue electric guitar is handled by two Gibson Custom P90 single coils with classic Soapbar housings. The pickups, wound according to historical specifications in the Custom store, impress on the guitar amplifier with a powerful yet dynamic sound, whose fat mid-range spectrum skillfully showcases the traditional clean and overdrive sounds of Blues and rock. A hand-wiredcircuit with a robust Switchcraft toggle and precise CTS Audio taper pots allows you to set your own personal sound, while historically correct paper-in-oil caps (oil paper capacitors) promise sensitive Treble roll-offs.

Historically correct add-on parts
