Accordingly, this model from the BTB series uses high-quality Hardware and tonewoods, as well as an active 3-band tone control with versatile adjustment options.

Elaborate construction

The Ibanez BTB866SC-WKL combines intricate composition with innovative features. Thus, the full-length maple and walnut neck delivers particularly strong attack, while okoume body wings in unison with the ash top in black finish provide further clarity and Sustain. 24 medium stainless steel frets spread across the rosewood fingerboard and provide plenty of room for expressive electric bass expressions over the 35-inch (889 mm) extra-long scale length.

Bartolini pickups and active 3-band EQ.

Two passive humbucker-format BH2 pickups from Bartolini provide a penetrating sound with tight lows and pronounced articulation. The innovative tone control provides a boost and cut for highs, lows and mids with optimally tuned frequencies. Furthermore, the mid frequencies can be conveniently adjusted via a 3-way switch from 250Hz, over 450Hz and 700Hz. Of course, two controls for Volume and balance may not be missing here.

High-quality Hardware equipment

Last but not least, the 6-string E-Bass from the Ibanez Bass Workshop Series has been equipped with high-quality hardware, which in black finish supports both the visual and tonal qualities of the woofer. An MR5 mono-rail bridge with individual bridges makes precise adjustments with the best isolation of each of the six strings possible. In addition, six Ibanez die-cast tuners keep the E-Bass in correct tuning.
