Barefoot MicroMain27 2nd Gen (Pair, Black)

The Barefoot MicroMain27 2nd Gen (Pair, Black) are the second generation of the MicroMain27 monitor speakers, renowned for their incredible sound response and high-quality workmanship/materials. The MicroMain27 2nd Gen are 3.5-way active speakers, with 5x drive units included in the 32l cabinet. Within this cabinet both the subwoofer and midbass enclosures are sealed, with the aluminium subwoofer frames serving as lateral cabinet bracing. The cabinets also feature long-fibre acoustic wool damping to guarantee audio is only transmitted at the desired design locations. The amplifier stage of the MM27s is handled by a Hypex unit, which delivers their high power almost completely transparently. The DSP crossover has been developed over a period of 4 years and presents a seamless, coherent audio image.

Another innovation found in the MicroMain27 2nd Gen (Pair, Black) is the new MEME (multi emphasis monitor emulation) technology. MEME allows for the reproduction of different monitor characteristics at the flick of a switch. By selecting the Flat option the MM27s function in a far more unflattering capacity, reminiscent of the lauded Yamaha NS10s, which will reveal the flaws in any given mix more transparently than the majority of more sweet-sounding monitors.
