Marantz PMD 561

The Marantz PMD 561 is a compact 24-bit/96kHz handheld recorder designed for professional applications. Due to the two high-quality integrated microphones, this recorder is suitable for pro mobile recordings, radio and television reports or as a field recorder for journalists.

The recording is directly on SD/SDHC cards with up to 32GB capacity and WAV or MP3 formats from 32 kbs to 320 kbs to choose from. Two microphones can be connected via two balanced XLR/jack plugs. An unbalanced mini-link input and a digital SPDIF input are available as line inputs.

An integrated pre-record function automatically cuts the last two seconds in the background, and the Silent-Skip function makes it possible to start a recording automatically as soon as a certain level is reached. The USB 2.0 interface makes it easy to transfer images to a computer. Appropriate editor software is included.
