Precise audio analysis for surround and immersive formats
NUGEN Halo Vision is a modular analysis tool for real-time visualization of surround and immersive audio productions. Developed for complex multi-channel setups up to 7.1.2 and compatible with AAX, VST3 and AU, the plugin provides in-depth insights into the interplay of space, frequency, Phase and dynamics. The analysis is carried out in real time and with high visual resolution.
Modular tools for comprehensive control
The Correlation Matrix and Correlation Webvisualize the phase relationshipsbetween all channel pairs. Color markings reliably show phase coherence, critical overlaps or destructive correlations. Contextual correlation allows only relevant signals to be filtered out in order to avoid misrepresentations due to silent channels.
Frequency Haze and Location Haze are used to display frequency and energy distributions in space. Low frequencies appear centered, high frequencies in the outer area of the circle. At the same time, the Location Haze display visualizes the sound distribution in the surround field based on perceptible brightness and position. This supports precise spatial placement of elements in the mix.
The Spectrum Analyzer provides both grouped and summarized displays of frequency curves across all channels. This is complemented by per-channel true peak meters and a timecode module for precise synchronization with the host DAW.
Customizable interface for flexible workflows
The interface is completely modular. Individual analysis tools can be freely arranged, scaled or hidden. The colour scheme, display behaviour and sensitivity of the visualizations can be adapted - for a clear working environment that avoids cluttered displays. This enablestargeted error analysis as well as continuous monitoring in real time.
Wide range of applications for modern audio productions
NUGEN's Halo Vision is suitable for all common formats, from classic stereothrough 5.1 and 7.1 surround to 7.1.2-configured Atmos workflows. The modular architecture makes it possible to reliably analyze phase coherence and spatial structure even in suboptimal listening environments or mobile setups. The tool provides reliable data, particularly in mastering and when checking the quality of downmixes.
