The Orange Signature #4 Jim Root Terror Guitar Amplifier Head has been designed in conjunction with everbodies favourite masked guitarist, Jim Root. The incredibly wide variety of playing styles of the Slipknot and Stone Sour member, along with the mad scientists at Orange, have combined to create a unique amp with an uncompromising tone.
The Orange Signature #4 Jim Root Terror head is built around a 15 watt version of the dirty channel of the amp that Jim Root uses in the studio and on stage, the Orange Rockerverb 100. The all-valve #4 Jim Root Terror is far from a one-trick, metal pony though.
Equipped with a 3-Band EQ, the Signature #4 Jim Root Terror amp head is more than capable of producing blues and vintage rock tones, as well as the high gain sounds that Jim Root is known for. This, along with the on-board tube-driven FX loop, allows any player to dial in the tone that they're after.
The front panel of the Signature #4 Jim Root Terror head features the classic 'Pics Only' legends as found on vintage Orange amps, along with both the Slipknot and Stone Sour logos on the rear of the chassis.
The Orange Signature #4 Jim Root Terror guitar amplifier head is perfectly complimented by the Signature #4 Jim Root PPC212 closed back cabinet, which has been develeoped alonside the amp to produce Jim Root's tone.

The main features of the Orange Signature #4 Jim Root Terror Guitar Amplifier Head include:
Good crunch tones, despite its name handles very well various rock territories and not only heavier genres. Plenty of power to keep up in the rehearsal studio in a classic rock band situation. Not recommended if you are after crystal clear tones, but you can get nice slightly saturated semi-cleans.
I upgraded from Oranges original Tiny Terror: the power output is the same, but the Jim Root Terror has a comprehensive eq section that definitely shapes your sound, and also an external effects loop which is vital if you plan to use time based effects like delay and reverb.
All in all, this little head is a great achievement from Orange: its easily the most versatile and most complete head from the Terror series, and the price is quite reasonable for whats in offer.
This is a great amplifier designed for home and small gig, it has all the features you need at an affordable price. The amplifier has an excellent own sound and does not require any additional pedals.
In rehearsals I use Orange Rockerverb 100 and I can say that they sound quite similar. I definitely recommend this amp to all who love the sound of Slipknot and Stone Sour and other heavy bands using Orange amps!
The only drawback that I noticed - the amplifier has a small but noticeable hum, maybe its because of the poor quality tube.
