The Remo SA-0114-00 is a medium weight 14" Hazy Ambassador Snare Side Resonant Drum Head, made with a single ply 3-mil Mylar film to produce an open, bright, and resonant sound with plenty of attack.
Remo SA-0114-00 Ambassador Drum-Head 14" (Hazy)... and for good reason,! Buy any new premium snare drum from DW, Gretsch etc and you will find this head on the resonant snare side. It is super sensitive, highly durable and easy to tune. It is a time tested drum head that has been used on countless tours and hit records. Highly recommended
Pretty sure this is the industry standard reso… with good reason! I’ve tried so many different drum heads over the years but I’m sticking to Remo from now on. They just sound right to me! They’re well made, reasonably priced, easy to tune and last really well. I haven’t found a snare these don’t work on (I’ve got about 10, all very different) - they’re just the best option all round.
I did also buy some of the encore series for some cheaper drums I’m selling and I’ve got to say they’re really impressive too!
