The legendary PPG Wave sound as a software synthesiser

The Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V Version 2 brings the distinctive sound of the legendary PPG Wave synthesiser to modern music productions. The original synthesiser, developed by Wolfgang Palm, shaped numerous hits of the 1980s and is still regarded today as a milestone in digital wavetable synthesis.

As a software instrument, the PPG Wave 3.V delivers the distinctive sound character of the original for VST2, VST3, AU and AAX hosts. This makes it ideal for electronic music, sound design, film scores, pop, synthwave, ambient and experimental productions.

Version 2 with Wavetable Editor and Mutator

Version 2.0 enhances this classic with modern creative features. The new wavetable editor allows you to create, edit and import your own wavetables directly within the plug-in. Additional factory wavetables instantly expand the sound palette.

The new Mutator is a patch randomiser inspired by the Waldorf Microwave plug-in and quickly generates new sound ideas. The scalable user interface also adapts flexibly to different screens and workflows.

Authentic wavetable synthesis with plenty of power

Per voice, the PPG Wave 3.V offers two wavetable oscillators, sample playback at 8-bit, 12-bit and up to 32-bit, authentic aliasing behaviour, and switchable models of the PPG Wave 2.2, 2.3 and 2.V.

With up to 256 voices per instance, 8-way multimode, 8 stereo outputs, an arpeggiator, effects and automation, the synthesiser is not just a vintage instrument, but a versatile tool for modern productions.
