The Allen & Heath CQ20B is the most channel-intensive mixer in the CQ series and is controlled via the free CQ MixPad app. With 16 mic/line inputs, two stereo inputs and six independent monitor mixes, it is suitable for bands, rehearsal rooms, small stages and mobile recording setups. Two inputs can be used as high-impedance instrument inputs.
The digital signal processing is based on Allen & Heath's FPGA technology and offers practical help for quick setups. The Gain Assistant supports the levelling of the preamps, while the Feedback Assistant detects and reduces interfering frequencies on the outputs. This means that live and rehearsal room situations can be set up efficiently.
Channel processing can be controlled simply or in detail, depending on the application. Quick Input reduces the most important settings to a few central parameters, while Complete Input provides access to complete channel processing. In addition, four FX assist engines provide reverb, delay and modulation effects with practical presets for voices and instruments.
The CQ20B supports 24x24 multitrack recording and playback via USB-B and SD card. Stereo recording and playback via USB memory and Bluetooth playback are also possible. The CQ4You app allows musicians to adjust their monitor mixes directly via smartphone or tablet. Thanks to the integrated dual-band WiFi, the connection to the control apps is also possible without additional network equipment.

You want manual control? No problem. The input channels can be switched between two operating modes. Quick Input provides users with source-specific settings that can be adjusted using a single control. Complete Input, on the other hand, allows full control over all channel parameters. The CQ series also introduces a new range of high-quality, user-friendly reverb, delay and modulation algorithms with instrument-specific presets that can be set up very quickly. The FX Assist function dynamically shapes an effect depending on the input signal for best transparency. The CQ-20B has four FX engines available.
The digital mixer also impresses with flexible recording and playback options, including a multi-channel USB audio interface, SD card support for multi-track playback and recording, simple stereo recording and playback via an external USB memory device and practical stereo playback via Bluetooth. The range of features of the CQ series is further enhanced with a pair of free multi-platform apps. The CQ-MixPad app enables remote control of the mixers, while the CQ4You app allows musicians to take control of their own monitor mixes via their own smartphones or tablets.
Last but not least, the CQ-20B has a powerful dual-band WLAN on board so that quick and easy connection to the control apps is possible even without additional network equipment.
