The ZVERB from TipTop Audio is a module specialising in high-quality reverb effects. This all-digital module features 24 different programmes, offering a range of options from plate reverb to digital reverb, including various modulated or ‘Pitched-Rooms’. Ultimately, the selection offers a cross-section of the most popular effect types from the 70s, 80s and 90s, without seeking to deliberately emulate any specific piece of kit. These are accessible via key combinations across three banks, each containing eight programmes. A highlight of the ZVERB is the internal analogue oscillator, which drives the CPU. If its frequency is lowered, a range of lo-fi reflections—right through to digital noise of the gritty variety—become possible.
