The UDO Audio RBN-1 in detail

The RBN-1 from UDO Audio is a high-quality ribbon controller for expressionist sound design. Thanks to the non-slip, rubberised underside and the magnetic housing, the controller stays exactly in place. The controller offers an effortless and tactile way to modulate the sound. It features adaptive bend behaviour, which allows the notes to be bent several octaves to match the original note played. The high sensitivity and responsiveness of the controller surface also allow for subtle vibrato effects and fine pitch modulations. This handy technique opens up the possibility to quickly and easily create epic modulation sweeps, Pitch bends and vibrato effects. The RBN-1 was primarily developed for the in-house synthesisers Super 6, Super 8 and Super Gemini, but also works perfectly on any other synthesiser with an expression pedal input. The RBN-1 can therefore also be regarded as a deluxe expression controller. With the separately available RBN-1C Eurorack module, a comparable range of functions with CV looper is available.
