Introducing Samarkanda 1953 Resampling Delay
Xaoc Devices Samarkanda in detail
Samarkanda is the name of the quadruple mega delay from Xaoc Devices, offering complete freedom through its modular design. The module contains four identical delay engines that can form complex effect combinations through sophisticated linking options and normalized outputs. Each delay provides three time ranges from 0.5 ms to 15 seconds and can reach up to 60 seconds when all channels are stacked. The sound character can be switched between digital and analog on every channel. Delay time, feedback and dry/wet mix can all be adjusted and have dedicated control voltage inputs. Reverse delay and buffer freeze can be activated manually or by gate signal. Each delay can run on its own free clock or synchronize to a master clock. The delays can be connected using the link function, and depending on which link button is engaged, settings are inherited from the previous channel. The operating modes are remarkable for a delay unit of this size. With no channels linked, the module works as four independent single delays. Linking two to four channels opens up creative possibilities such as dual stereo delay, multi tap or multi channel delay, single or multi tap reverse delay, quad or polyphonic resonator, dual chorus, dual flanger, reverb, looper with sound on sound and granulator.
