Many sounds with easy access

Ten sound categories provide direct access to the 363 sounds, making it much quicker to find the sound you want. With a polyphony of 128 voices, the CK88 won't run out of breath so quickly, which is an advantage when playing fast, but also if you want to make full use of the three parts. Each part can be assigned its own sound and saved in a live set. This is very convenient if, for example, two tracks are played from the DAW and a part is played by hand; this way you always have the right combination ready for the next song. A total of 160 live sets can be saved. Layered sounds are also possible and up to three split zones can be distributed via the keyboard.

Simplified sound shaping for fast results

Another highlight are the many control elements. There are nine drawbars for the organ section as well as buttons for vibrato/chorus and percussion. Separate rotary controls for the filter and envelope shape every sound in no time at all.

The effects section is also generously equipped with rotary controls. The five effect categories Drive, FX1, FX2, Delay and Reverb offer 51 effect types that can be edited in detail using the controls. A higher-level master equaliser rounds off the creative intervention options.

In conclusion

The CK88 is a flexible all-rounder for the stage, production and everyday band life. The audio input can be used to connect a playback device with line level (e.g. a CD player) or a microphone, which can also be processed with the effects. Thanks to the Bluetooth audio interface, it is no problem to play a song from a smartphone with the integrated stereo speakers and incorporate it into your own exercises. MIDI and audio are exchanged with a music programme such as a DAW via the USB port. This allows you to record your playing directly on the computer, edit it and incorporate it into a production.
