Adam Jones, the legendary Tool guitarist known for his ability to push the boundaries of rock guitar sound, has collaborated with Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop to create a guitar that embodies his sonic vision. This partnership led to the development of the Silverburst 1979 Les Paul Custom, which Jones praises as "one of my favorite guitars of all time". This instrument reflects not only Jones' exceptional talent and innovative musical approach but also his commitment to quality and sonic perfection. A four-time Grammy winner and platinum-selling musician, Jones brings his wealth of experience and unique understanding of music to the design of this guitar, making it a coveted piece for guitarists worldwide.

Technically, the electric guitar is very well set up: It has a three-piece maple neck with a custom Adam Jones profile, an ebony fingerboard and a mahogany body with a maple top. Finished in Antique silver burst, it is equipped with a Gibson Custombucker pickup in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan Distortion in the bridge position, together with CTS potentiometers and OrangeDrop capacitors.
